Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has announced plans to commence the long-awaited construction of the Ebonesii–Ukpor road, a major infrastructure project previously delayed due to security challenges in the area.
Speaking during a visit to Ihiala Local Government Area on October 16, the governor said the completed road would significantly improve transportation, stimulate economic activity, and enhance living conditions for surrounding communities.
Governor Soludo described his visit as a celebration of restored peace, noting that Ihiala and nearby towns were once heavily affected in the past. He highlighted that government interventions have successfully returned stability to the area.
He expressed appreciation to the armed forces, security agencies, and community leaders for their efforts in restoring order and reiterated his call for repentant youths to take advantage of the “One Youth, Two Skills” reintegration programme.
