The Gombe State Executive Council, led by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved several infrastructure and development projects across the state. Key decisions include the construction of over 74km of rural roads in four LGAs under the World Bank-supported RAAMP, with ₦3 billion in counterpart funding. Additional road projects include augmentations for the Kumo–Luggerewo–Papa and Ture–Gelengu roads, and a new 4.5km road in Balanga LGA. The Council also approved ₦5.5 billion to complete the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park and ₦2.1 billion for Gombe’s regional water supply maintenance. Compensation payments were ratified for properties affected by road and erosion control projects, including ₦334 million under BAP 4 and a World Bank-backed erosion project. ₦5.2 billion was approved for UBEC counterpart funding, and support for 2025 Hajj operations was also confirmed. Kumo General Hospital was handed over for conversion into a Federal Medical Centre, marking another milestone in state-federal collaboration.
